Sri Laxmikanta Swamy Temple


Hedtale is a small village in Nanjangud taluk and about 15kms from Nanjangud town. Sri Laxmikanta Swamy Temple was built by Bheemaiah Dandanayaka in the year 1214 AD during the reign of Hoysala. The three cells enshrines Laxmikanta in the form of Nambinarayana, the north cell Laxminarasimha and south cell Venugopala. The central ceiling is beautifully carved. There is a hall with 24 pillars in front of the temple. This is called Hadinaru Mukada Chawadi or Darbar hall. The restoration work was carried out during 1998-2000. After the restoration work, daily pooja is being performed in this temple.
