Sri Someshwara Temple.

Belathur village is situated about 8kms from Maddur town. Sri Someshwara Temple probably built in 10th-11th century AD shows strong Nolamba character. The temple was in complete dilapidated condition and most of the original wall stones were not there. After complete dismantling the structure, by raising the base for about 2 feet the temple was reconstructed by substituting the new stone members in place of missed/broken stone members. The restoration of the temple took place during 2007-08. After restoration, daily pooja is being performed in this temple.
