Inscriptions found in the temple and the architectural style indicate that the temple must have been built in 16th century AD. At the entrance of the temple, there is a beautifully carved Dwajastamba made up of one single stone. This is a Trikutachala temple and main diety is Sri Ranganatha Swamy. The temple consists of open porch, Sabhamantapa, Sukhanasi and Garbhagriha on 3 sides. The restoration work of the temple was carried out during 2005-06.
