Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple
Tirumalapura village is situated about 6kms from Huliyur town adjacent to Tiptur-Huliyur road. The temple which was built during 9th-10th century AD could be dated to the Chola period. The temple consists of 5 garbhagrihas, antarala and mukhamantapa. Most of the original stones of the temple were missing. The restoration of the temple took up during 2004-05. During the restoration all the stone members were dismantled, some stones were replaced with new stones and re-constructed after strengthening the Adhistana. Suitable Shikara was built over garbhagriha. Prakara/linkmesh was laid around the temple for protection. After restoration of the temple; the daily pooja is being performed.
