Sri Nanjundeshwara Temple

Nanjarayapatna village is situated at a distance of 17kms from Kushalanagara. The temple is said to have been built by Nanjundaraya son of Nanjaraya, a Mahamandleshwar of Kodagu. Inscriptions found in the temple and architectural style is indicative that this must have been built in 16th century AD in the era of Vijanagara dynasty. The restoration work of the temple was carried out in 1995-96. After restoration of the temple, the daily pooja is now being performed.
