Sri Kalleshwara temple

Kalkere Village is situated at a distance of about 8 Kms from Tiptur town.  Sri Kalleshwara temple of this village is about 500 yrs. old and was in  dilapidated condition due to growth of vegetation. The temple consists of Garbhagruha, Sukanasi, and Navaranga Mantapa.  The walls of the navaranga was in brick , during the year 2013-14 the restoration work of this temple has taken up after complete dismantling of then existing structure.  The temple was rebuilt after strengthening the foundation and putting stone walls in place of brick new one garbhagruha suitable shikhara was built and compound wall / link mesh also put for the protection of the renovated temple. Daily pooja is being performed after restoration.
