Sri Ganesha Temple

Sri Ganesha Temple at Kurudumale is a Protected Monument of Department of State Archeology, Government of Karnataka. Kurudumale village is about 10kms from Mulubagilu town. The temple is datable to early Chola’s period with additional structures constructed during Vijayanagara kingdom, probably built in 14th century AD. The temple was covered by earth to the extent of about 3 feet. When the outer stone wall was about to fall down, temporary protection was made by constructing the size stone massionary wall. During the restoration work, entire outer wall was completely dismantled and reconstructed after strengthening the foundation as per the original. The restoration work of the temple took place during 2008-09. After restoration, more number of devotees and tourists are visiting this temple.
