Sri Muladhareshwara temple

Kendatti village is at distance of 2kms from Narasapura which is on Bangalore-Kolar National Highway. The temple was built during 10th century AD in Ganga style of architecture. The temple is under the control of Muzrai Department but it was neglected. During the restoration work the stone walls were dismantled, cleaned and re-constructed after strengthening the adhisthana. Flooring inside and outside pradakshinapatha of the temple was laid with new stone slabs. Suitable shikara was newly built over Garbhagriha. Prakara was constructed around the temple for protection. During 2011-12 the restoration work was took up. A non-living temple was converted into a living temple after restoration.
