Sri Kalleshwara Temple

Kabbura is a village at a distance of 15kms from Haveri town. Sri Kalleshwara Temple at Kabbura was built about 800 years ago in Chalukyan style of architecture. The temple was almost covered with the earth and was in total dilapidated condition. The temple consists of two Garbhagriha, Antarala and Navaranga. The soil covered over the temple was totally removed, foundation was strengthened and rebuilt with new stone walls in place of bricks. New stone slabs were laid for flooring inside and outside of the temple. The restoration work of the temple took place during 2012-13.
