Sri Kumbaleshwara Temple

Hiriyur village is at a distance of about 10kms from Arasikere town. Sri Kumbaleshwara Temple dated back to 13th-14th century AD, is in Hoysala style of architecture. When the outer stone walls were in the verge of collapse, temporary protection arrangements were made by putting size stones support around the temple as a precautionary measure. During restoration work, debris around the temple were cleared, wall stones were removed, chemically cleaned and re-built after strengthening the foundation. Suitable shikara was also reconstructed. The temple was restored during 2008-09. After restoration of the temple daily pooja is being performed.
