Sri Eshwara Temple

Peddanahally village is about 12kms from Nittur on the Tumkur-Shimogha road. Sri Eshwara Temple was built around 400 years ago in Vijayanagara style of architecture and it belonged to Mysore Aras’s period. The temple was in total dilapidated condition. During the restoration work all the stone members were dismantled, cleaned and re-constructed after strengthening the Adhistana. The outer walls were missing and replaced with new one and suitable shikhara was built over garbhagriha. The restoration of the temple took up during 2012-13.
