Sri Kashivishveshwara Temple

Hosaboodanur village is about 8kms from Mandya, adjacent to Bangalore-Mysore Highway.Sri Kashivishveshwara Temple was built during 13th century AD in Hoysala style of architecture. The temple is a Protected Monument of Department of State Archeology, Government of Karnataka. The temple has beautiful carvings. Most stones of the temple were sunk in the mud. Mahadwara mantapa was in dilapidated condition and its outer walls were fallen down. During restoration all the stones were dismantled, separated and re-built after strengthening the jagati. The restoration of the temple took up during 2006-07. After restoration, daily pooja is being performed in this temple attracting many devotees.
