Sri Shambulingeshwara Temple

 Kallur village is about 8kms from Elawala which comes on Mysore-Madikeri road. Sri Shambulingeshwara Temple was built in 10th century AD by Nollambapalla Vardhana Paaliga of Ganga dynasty. The outer stone walls were fell down and were built in bricks. The restoration work was carried out during 2010-11. During restoration all the stones were dismantled, cleaned, and re-built after strengthening the adhisthana. Suitable Shikara over garbhagriha was newly built. After the restoration work, daily pooja is now being performed in this temple.
